CIERP / Certified Implementer of Enterprise Resource Planning for Not Yet Techies"Computer Careers: Helping Large Businesses Implement and Administer Enterprise Resource Planning Software Packages"by Richard Stooker, President Info Ring Press and author of Secrets of Changing to a Computer Career |

Cibres CIERP / Certified Implementer of Enterprise Resource Planning verifies the holder's ability to implement and maintain an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning software package) system. This software, such as from SAP, Baan/PeopleSoft etc is important to many large companies. The Cibres CIERP / Certified Implementer of Enterprise Resource Planning credential could be important to the careers of anyone working with this type of software. ERP is large, expensive and difficult to implement software, although managed properly it can save companies a lot of money. It is difficult (and expensive) to find training on your own. It seems to be more available in India than in the U.S., unless you work for a company with ERP providing the training for you. Cibres CIERP / Certified Implementer of Enterprise Resource Planning is the only ERP certification available that I know of. According to my research, 60% of ERP implementations fail, which is astonishing considering its cost and importance. So once you have the Cibres CIERP / Certified Implementer of Enterprise Resource Planning credential, you are an important resource to any company with or planning to get ERP. To get the Cibres CIERP / Certified Implementer of Enterprise Resource Planning certification, you must pass the test with a score 70% or betterThe test lasts 4 hours. It is cross-platform, covering key ERP concepts. However, it is not a basic foundational type of exam. It's comprehensive and considered difficult to pass, at least without extensive preparation. Since the Cibres CIERP / Certified Implementer of Enterprise Resource Planning exam currently costs $325 (perhaps more by the time you read this), you don't want to take it lightly. It's difficult to say how much weight any particular employer will give to a credential such as the Cibres CIERP / Certified Implementer of Enterprise Resource Planning, since it's not well known. However, it's really the only objective credential you can get to verify you know and understand ERP concepts. If a company does not understand the importance of it, and you are such a qualified ERP candidate, do you really want to work for that company? |
