UNIX certifications:There are 2 UNIX certifications, on the systems and on programming. UNIX certifications Systems Certified Professional "Certified graduates of this program possess a comprehensive body of skills and knowledge that enables them to capitalize on the power of UNIX while avoiding the pitfalls. They know how to use the complete services and utilities of UNIX effectively as well as how to employ the advanced tools that increase productivity. They know how to design and configure a TCP/IP-based UNIX network, and enhance the performance, reliability and security of their UNIX systems. Four UNIX certifications required tests: 1. UNIX: A Hands-On Introduction (Course 336 - 4 days) 2. UNIX Administration: A Hands-On Introduction (Course 435 - 4 days) 3. UNIX Server Administration for the Enterprise: Hands-On (Course 436 - 4 days) 4. UNIX System and Network Security: Hands-On (Course 433 - 4 days) One of these UNIX certifications electives: Linux Installation, Configuration and Support: Hands-On (Course 330 - 4 days) Perl Programming: Hands-On (Course 431 - 4 days) KornShell Programming: Hands-On (Course 434 - 4 days) Hands-On UNIX Tools and Utilities (Course 396 - 4 days) Hands-On Internetworking with TCP/IP (Course 467 - 4 days) Internet and Intranet Security: A Comprehensive Introduction (Course 468 - 4 days) Deploying Internet and Intranet Firewalls: Hands-On (Course 488 - 4 days) Hands-On UNIX Programming (Course 333 - 4 days) Hands-On TCP/IP Programming (Course 363 - 4 days) Hands-On C Programming (Course 338 - 4 days) UNIX certifications Programming Certified Professional "Certified graduates of this program have a thorough understanding of how to write applications for the UNIX operating system. They possess the knowledge and skills to develop and maintain client/server applications within a networked UNIX environment, port existing applications to the UNIX environment and develop new applications for high-end UNIX workstations and PCs."
