Baan Certifications for Not Yet Techies

For Baan certifications, this is a currently an "Upgrade Certificate." You must first be Baan IV certified. Then you complete the BaanERP Differences Overview course. It's designed to give a more comprehensive overview of Baan ERP software, instead of just one component, as is the case for IV of Baan certifications.

This Baan certifications is a 5 to 10 day instructor led course, so it's expensive. Must pass the BaanERP upgrade exam with 75% score rate or higher. This test is given on the Baan Virtual Campus in a proctored environment the final day of the instructor led course. Test costs $300.

This certification was introduced late in 1998. The full Baan certifications (as opposed to being an 'upgrade') will supposedly be available from Baan in early 2000. Eventually BaanERP will replace Baan IV.

This certifies you in these Baan product components: Demand Planner, Planner, Scheduler, and Execution.

I could find little information on these Baan certifications, even on Baan's web site. This certification was just introduced in 1998. It is obviously geared toward inventory control and management aspects of Baan's software. If this your main interest and experience, contact Baan for more information.

If you have not only great skill and experience with Baan certifications, but you also want to teach, this is for you. It will accredit you to teach Baan courses. You can become accredited in one more of Baan's tracks.

You of course have to have the Baan certifications you want to teach in your computer career. Also, you must hold the Certified Technical Trainer (CTT) credential. Finally, you will practice teaching under watchful eye of an experienced instructor.
