ActionScript is a scripting, interpreted programming language based on the European ECMAScriptThe purpose of ActionScript is to modify and enhance Macromedia Flash movies. ActionScript comes embedded in Macromedia Flash beginning with version 5. Scripts may be short or long, and can be placed in each key frame in in a timeline. (Every Flash movie is composed of scenes and each scene has a timeline.) ActionScript can control the flow of a movie and also give the site visitor more control. With ActionScript you can enhance Flash:
