Objective C is another object oriented programming language in the C family. Unlike its much more well-known and widely used cousin, C++, Objective C is small and relatively simple, except for the parts it shares with C, which is a large language.

Objective C was used by Apple for its Mac OS X (code name: Jaguar) operating system for the Macintosh.

It supports:

Hierarchies of substitutable types
Message parsing between objects
Code reuse through inheritance
Dynamic dispatch
Dynamic typing
Dynamic loading

Another difference with Objective C is that it defers program decisions until run time, instead of making them when compiled.
