Whether or not any certification is "worth it" is an individual decision. You alone must decide what your career goals and needs are.

Look at certifications from a cost/benefit or Return On Investment (ROI) basis. If they help you get a better paying job or make more money at your current job, they are obviously "worth it."

The problem is, there is no real way of measuring how much you can expect your income to go up as a result of any given certification. It also depends on non-related job search skills such as how well you network.

There are 3 tracks of Legato certifications

Availability
NetWorker
XtenderSolutions

The Availability track has one level. It targets "those individuals who are new to LEGATO Availability products and responsible for daily products administration."

Pass exam LE0-406: LEGATO AAM 5.x Administrator and you are a LEGATO Certified Availability Administrator (LCAA). This exam "focuses on the daily operations and basic maintenance performed by department administrators."

The NetWorker track has two levels

Pass exam LE0-625: LEGATO Certified NetWorker 6.x Administrator for UNIX® - and you earn the LEGATO Certified NetWorker Administrator for UNIX® ( LCNA/UX ).

Pass Legato certifications exam LE0-630: LEGATO Certified NetWorker 6.x Administrator for Windows® - and you earn the LEGATO Certified NetWorker Administrator for Windows® ( LCNA/Win ).

Level-II courses target "those responsible for enterprise planning and installation, policies, and automation, and include troubleshooting techniques." Prerequisites include Level-I, LCNA for UNIX and/or Windows.

Pass Course 640 - LEGATO NetWorker 6.x Advanced Administration and you achieve the LEGATO Certified NetWorker Specialist (LCNS).

XtenderSolutions Certification Program is one more Legato certifications. To become certified on an XtenderSolution product, you must take and pass an exam at the end of the course.
